The Latest Equipment

To gain a full understanding of the mould growth we use three main tools.

Thermal Image Mapping

Infrared Analysis or thermal imaging allows us to view the room through a camera and see the room in temperatures. Each surface of the room will represent a different colour according to its temperature making it possible to scan the room quickly to see any areas that are high in temperature and low in temperature which require further investigation.

Areas that are cold can represent water intrusion, areas that are warmer can represent condensation risks and it is even possible to see roof beams and insulation under the right conditions.

Measuring Moisture Rates

Moisture Meters are used to measure the moisture content of building materials allowing us to gauge if there is a moisture issue significant enough to be the cause of mould growth.

Moisture measurements rely on the temperature and humidity of a room to give a percentage reading allowing us to identify areas at risk of condensation and water intrusion events.

Monitoring Air Quality

Particle Counters are used to assess air quality inside a property. A particle counter takes a sample of air and distinguishes through light refraction the number of particulates within the air and the micron size of the particles.

This information can be used to identify areas with bad indoor air quality with require further investigation.
