Located in the Hills District area of Sydney, this property was affected by a storm that caused a tree branch to fall on and damage the roof of the owner’s home leading to water intrusion throughout the property.
MCA Group was appointed to carry out a mould inspection and mould remediation. When MCA technicians initially attended it was evident the mould growth was present due to a roof leak.
The technicians created and our reports team issued the Insurer a detailed report outlining their findings to allow them to get a complete understanding of the job before proceeding with the works. Once the insurer had approved the works, MCA organised a suitable time and date with the policy holder.
MCA Group soon returned to complete the remediation works. With the approval of the insured we removed ceiling plaster which was deemed as non-salvageable as well as treated other hard surfaces that were mould-affected and conducted a fogging treatment throughout the property to ensure no airborne spores could create issues within the premises.
Following MCA attending for the mould removal the policy holder was able to return to a mould free home the same day.
