This property located in Inner West Sydney had reported to their insurer that there was black mould developing on the ceiling plaster in the lounge room.

MCA Group was appointed to inspect and report on this event.

MCA Group technicians attended for the inspection and reported that it was evident mould growth was present in the home due to previous water intrusion in the form of a roof leak due to a broken tile that had now been replaced.

Following our detailed report being supplied to the insurance company, MCA Group received approval to remediate the property. These works included the removal of non-salvageable cornice and ceiling plaster in one room. Once these items were removed MCA group further remediated the property by removing all visible mould from the premises including the removal of air borne mould spores, so the home had an acceptable mould air spore count consistent with the outside environment.

Months on from the mould remediation, the policy holder still has a mould free home.
