MCA Group received an urgent call out to an independent educational facility in a Melbourne suburb. The campus was completed in 1989 and had undergone extensions in the late 00’s.
Plumbing failure occurred at the campus, with a burst flexi-hose affecting 6 rooms. After receiving the initial assistance call, the MCA Group was able to rapidly attend within 2 hours.
The premises was inspected by the attending technician, with a moisture meter and infrared camera in use to determine the extent of damages and calculate the best course of action to assist the campus in returning to normal. The flexi-hose had burst, causing the water to travel down the linoleum flooring of the toilet area,Once the flexi-hose had burst, water travelled from the linoleum flooring of the toilet area, continuing to the linoleum of the hallway, eventually submerging the carpet of 4 surrounding classrooms. The plaster throughout the rooms were identified as being affected, this, along with all other observations were noted in the fully illustrated report.
