Help when you need it

After any flood event inside the home, the response time is critical in limiting the water damage caused, and to document any affected areas and items. Once we have been notified of a flood event, a Customer Service Team Member will promptly contact the homeowner to organise a time with one of our experienced technicians.

Whether it is storm damage, or an escape of liquid event, such as a burst pipe, it can be a traumatic experience for the homeowner. Our fully accredited technicians take the time to listen and understand exactly how the event has occurred, to gain a full understanding, before commencing the inspection process.

The inspection process begins as the technician documents each of the affected areas using specialist water detection tools, including moisture meters and infrared cameras. These tools assist in identifying concealed areas of water intrusion, allowing our technicians to provide a detailed and precise analysis of each area.

Critical Information You Need To Know

We will prepare an in-depth report for you, including:

  •         A video of the affected area, including the source,
  •         Infrared moisture mapping of the affected areas,
  •         Damages to supporting framework, ceilings, walls, flooring, skirting, trim and other structural elements,
  •         Affected flooring including carpets, floorboards, rugs and other floor coverings,
  •         Detailed measurements of wet and dry areas, allowing us to work to a “dry standard”,
  •         Photos of the affected areas, and
  • A defined action plan, detailing the equipment required to return your home to its pre-loss condition, as quickly as possible

Infrared imagery will show a difference in temperature. This tool is used to highlight potential areas which may have elevated moisture levels. However the area must be checked with a moisture meter to verify.

As we recognise the speed and accuracy of information and reporting as critical, all reporting is cloud-based and in-real-time. This allows us to send reports in a matter of hours from the time of site attendance, and in some cases, while the technician is still on-site.

MCA Group has extensive experience in working through every type of flood and will design an action plan that best suits each individual situation. Our technicians will then take the time to comprehensively explain what needs to be done with the homeowner, to make sure they are comfortable and familiar with our process.
