Help when you need it
Within 1 hour of receiving the claim from an insurance provider, an MCA Group Customer Service Team Member will contact the Policy Holder/Insured to discuss the damages and arrange a time within the next 24 hours, to attend the property and start the restoration process.
Critical Information You Need To Know
During the initial site attendance, a detailed inspection report will be created to outline the damages as a result of the claim. Our technicians will review the extent of the fire damage and what materials need to be immediately disposed of. They will then inspect all areas for smoke and soot contamination, in preparation for cleaning. This includes documenting items such as ceiling and wall linings, mouldings, fittings and fixtures.
If the fire has been extinguished by water, then drying may be required and will be documented at this time.
Providing the Insurer with key information immediately is a vital part of MCA Group. Through use of our cloud-based platform, the inspection report is prepared and sent to the insurer prior to the technician leaving the property. All inspection reports contain photos and a video, however, should urgent information be required, our attending technician can be contacted whilst on site.
Infrared imagery will show a difference in temperature. This tool is used to highlight potential areas which may have elevated moisture levels. However the area must be checked with a moisture meter to verify.
Once the technician has inspected all areas and understands the works required, they will complete a walk-through with the Policy Holder to explain what steps will be carried out, and how they can contact our offices should they have any further questions or concerns.
