Fire Debris Cleaning

Smoke and soot contamination can cause significant damages, and at times can cause more damage than the actual fire. Even with small fires, which are extinguished relatively quickly, can allow smoke to travel through many areas of a property.

Using a combination of equipment and techniques, soot affected items will be cleaned.

Some of our methods and tools include:

  • Dry chemical sponges,
  • Heavy duty degreasers,
  • HEPA filtered vacuums,
  • Steam cleaners,
  • Pressure cleaners, and
  • Air filtration units

Items which are heavily fire damaged and have been burnt beyond repair will be removed and disposed of. Removing these materials will remove the “burnt smell” and provide access to other areas requiring smoke and soot removal. If these burnt materials cannot be removed, then a sealer will be applied to contain the smell until it can be replaced.

Fixtures and fittings can be cleaned to a pre-fire condition, however at times, walls and ceiling surfaces that have undergone severe smoke damage will be cleaned where soot removal is completed, and ready for repainting.
