Commence Drying
Our aim with structural drying is to create the ideal conditions to dry the property in the shortest amount of time, allowing the repair process to begin.
Structural drying involves the installation of equipment that uses a combination of air movement, humidity control, and where necessary, heat, to promptly return the home to a standard, which is considered dry.
Our technicians determine the number of air movers and radial fans needed to create the ideal air movement across all the affected surfaces in a home by strategically positioning the equipment for the most effective operation. The number of dehumidifiers is determined based on the volume of air that will need to be treated, and the levels of saturation in the building materials.
Safety is our highest priority, so any equipment installed in a property is always connected to a residual current device (RCD), and any loose leads or cables are taped down, eliminating any trip hazards. Homeowners are always left the contact details of a 24/7 after-hours number, for any additional support or questions.
On our return visits, our technicians will check the moisture rates of the affected materials, and upon completion, they will remove the equipment and prepare a comprehensive completion report.
As we recognise the speed and accuracy of information and reporting as critical, all reporting is cloud-based and in-real-time. This allows us to send reports in a matter of hours from the time of site attendance, and in some cases, while the technician is still on-site.
MCA Group has extensive experience in working through every type of flood and will design an action plan that best suits each individual situation. Our technicians will then take the time to comprehensively explain what needs to be done with the homeowner, to make sure they are comfortable and familiar with our process.
Specialist Equipment
MCA Group has the latest, specialist equipment to dry your home, furnishings and contents, and floor coverings in any emergency scenario. Our premium equipment and expertise allow homeowners to feel at ease during the process, knowing any necessary works are being completed to the highest of international standards.
Air Mover (RAM)
Radial air movers are suitable for drying a wide variety of surfaces including timber, plasterboard, carpet, and concrete. Our air movers push a high velocity air stream, over a 25% larger area than other low profile air movers, while using less power. They cost less to run and are more effective. Our RAM air movers are the safest in their class and are designed to keep customers and our technicians safe.
Air Mover (CAM)
Like Radial Air Movers, these fan dryers can dry a variety of surfaces but are also particularly useful under carpet and carpet underlay, to dry the supporting flooring.
Our CAM air movers use energy efficient motors and are the quietest on the market.
Dehumidifiers
We use dehumidifiers to balance any increased atmospheric humidity when drying fans are in use. Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the atmosphere, returning dry air back into the area. Our dehumidifiers are small and yet, are one of the best performing units available, removing 2 – 3 times more water than units twice their size.
Air Purifiers
Air filtration devices are used to lower the levels of airborne particles including dust, pollen, mould spores and other contaminants. You will really appreciate the improved indoor air quality, which is assessed at the start and end of the job to ensure air quality is within acceptable and safe levels.
