At MCA Group we take the time to understand exactly what is going on within the home. Mould will only form when there is moisture and a food source present. It is also important to understand the difference between surface mould growth from condensation and surface temperatures and hidden mould growth from water intrusion. Essentially the goal of our inspection report is to identify the cause of the mould growth and to outline a scope for remediation.

• Common in roof cavities or walls backing against showers
• Can be easily identified with moisture measurements

• Is usually spread across a surface
• Can surround external walls of a room
• More consistent growth that other types of mould

• Common in wet rooms such as bathrooms and laundries

• Mould commonly forms on skirting
• Elevated moisture rates found at base of walls
• Common in older buildings built on sandstone
• Can also be caused by wet sub floors
