Removing Pooling Water
The first course of action after a flood event is to remove any standing water within the property. Standing water can cause further damage to contents, building materials, and in some cases, structural damage, if it is not removed in a timely manner.
In situations where there is a large amount of standing water in a home, our technicians may need to use submersible pumps, which drain the water from the affected area within a matter of hours.
In more common situations, our technicians will use water extraction machines to remove standing water from carpets and tiled surfaces. These machines are designed to continuously draw out excess moisture, removing hundreds of liters an hour.
Sanitisation and steam cleaning may be necessary at this point, depending on the source of water, or to remove any odours that may be present.
